PicToPDF

Privacy

The short version: your files never leave your device, and we do not have accounts, so there is nothing to log you into.

Your files

Every converter on this site runs entirely in your browser. Images you drop in are read by the page's own code, converted in your device's memory, and handed back to you as a download. No file is ever sent to a server, ours or anyone else's.

You can verify this. Load a converter page, disconnect from the network, and convert anyway. It works, because there was never a request to make.

Nothing you convert is stored. Close the tab and it is gone from memory. We do not keep copies, because we never had one.

What is stored in your browser

One thing: a small entry in your browser's local storage holding today's date and how many conversions you have done today. That is what enforces the daily free limit. It never leaves your browser and it is not sent anywhere. Clearing your site data removes it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count page views and see which pages people find useful. It records the usual things a web analytics tool records: the page you are on, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you are using. It does not see the files you convert, because those never reach any network request.

If you would rather not be counted, any tracker blocker stops it, and the converters keep working normally.

Cookies

We do not set cookies of our own. Google Analytics sets its own; blocking it blocks those.

The iPhone app

The PicToPDF app processes photos on the device as well. Its App Store listing carries the full privacy label, and the policy linked from that listing is the authoritative document for the app. This page covers the website.

Children

This site is a file converter with no accounts, no messaging and no user generated content. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page. There is no mailing list to notify, because we do not collect email addresses.

Contact

Questions about any of this can go through the support link on the App Store listing.
